RWDI's Peter Irwin appointed as a Trustee of CTBUH
Peter Irwin, RWDI's Chairman, began his term as a Trustee of the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) at that organization's annual conference held Oct. 21-23, 2009 at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. Jon Galsworthy and Derek Kelly were other attendees from RWDI. More than 500 delegates from around the world participated.

Award: RWDI's Peter Irwin Fellow of the Engineering Institute
RWDI is pleased to announce that our chairman, and past President, Peter Irwin, has been elected as a Fellow of the Engineering Institute of Canada (EIC), a national technical body comprised of 12 Canadian technical societies. This award recognizes Peter’s many contributions to the development of wind engineering for complex structures and his involvement in organizations and committees advancing the profession.

RWDI welcomes Dr. Jon Galsworthy
RWDI is pleased to welcome Dr. Jon Galsworthy to the staff of our Guelph, Ontario wind engineering group. Jon, who will be a project director in the wind engineering group, brings to RWDI in-depth experience and knowledge from his previous roles as wind engineer and university professor. He received his B.E.Sc. in Civil Engineering in 1995 and his Ph.D. in 2000, both from the University of Western Ontario.
