Mike Lepage

Mike Lepage had a choice in 1981: continuing pursuing a Ph.D or go to work. He chose to work and then chose RWDI from four job offers in the growing field of environmental consulting, where his math/meteorology training was in high demand.

The other academic influence that would change his life was a psychology professor at CEGEP (mandatory pre-university colleges in Quebec) who introduced Mike to the writings of Carlos Castenda. “His philosophies have given me a deeper sense of living by reminding me that death is always right over your shoulder. It sharpens your awareness, your ability to live each moment.”

Over the years, Mike has worked on most types of projects handled by RWDI. Highlights include Boston’s Central Artery/Tunnel project, which spanned more than a decade and ongoing drive-through emissions-reduction work for Tim Horton’s and other fast-food restaurants.

A naturalist and birder, Mike spends as much time as he can outdoors. He and his family ski, hike, play tennis, cycle, or swim most weekends. An eclectic reader, he’s making his way through the 18th and 19th-century novels his wife studied in university.
