Mark Hunter joined RWDI in 1980. A project manager who has worked all over the world with RWDI, Mark once climbed the final 15 stories of a 95-storey building under construction in Hong Kong on scaffolding to take a measurement. He has also consulted on several projects with the installation artist Christo and partner Jean Claude, including the Gates in New York's Central Park.
"Half our business these days is still traditional wind loading but other services are beginning to grow such as sustainable design, natural ventilation, human comfort, solar, building optimization, damping, and integrated design. We are sliding more toward consulting and less laboratory services. This will be a different company in five years."
Mark has three passions: family, work, and sports. He enjoys renovating his home, recently having gutted and rebuilt the kitchen. Every two years, he joins the same three friends for a golf holiday.
