K. Suresh Kumar

After joining RWDI in 2000 as a senior engineer, Suresh became a senior specialist in 2004. His focus: wind loading and wind-induced vibrations on wind sensitive structures such as super-tall buildings, long-span bridges etc. He has worked on Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building; the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, Washington; Main Street Bridge, Columbus, Ohio; and Air Force Memorial Spires, Arlington, Virginia, among other high-profile projects. In addition to the consulting work, Suresh is actively involved in research and has more than 50 papers in major International journals and conferences to his credit. In 2006, Suresh became the Managing Director of RWDI's operations in India. His immediate goals are to expand the operation's business in sustainable design and computational fluid dynamics. In recognition of his outstanding performance and significant contributions with RWDI, Suresh has been appointed a Principal of RWDI in 2008.

A skilled team builder, Suresh is working toward becoming a highly versatile consultant who can assist clients with a variety of integrated RWDI services. Outside of work he plays badminton, likes to travel (and read maps), and has a penchant for doing volunteer social work.
