J. Wayne Boulton

Wayne joined RWDI in 1997 and less than a year later became heavily involved in the technical and business development of some of RWDI's new and unique service areas, including: regional emissions inventory and photochemical modelling; meso-scale meteorology modelling; software development and GIS; realtime meteorological and air dispersion modelling and forecasting; etc.  Wayne has authored and presented more than 28 conference papers and proceedings and has co-authored four refereed journal articles and professional publications.  He has also been an invited session chair by the US EPA at more than a half-dozen technical conferences and workshops.  Wayne was made an Associate in 2003 and in 2009 he moved with his family to Abu Dhabi to manage our UAE office.  Wayne was invited to become a partner in 2010.Wayne's interests in wind and the environment have deep roots.  Spending his childhood summers on the family sailboat and living both in the UK and Australia for seperate one-year periods evolved into a passion for travel and the outdoors that he shares with his wife Lisa and two young children Patrick and Samantha. 

Wayne studied physical geography at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario where he gained hands on experience building and operating laboratory and portable wind tunnels.  Wayne went on to earn a Masters of Science degree from the University of Guelph in Ontario, specialising in field investigations of wind erosion and landforms (aeolian geomorphology) across the Mojave desert, Nevada.

As a Consultant, Wayne is responsible for the overall quality of RWDI's product and ensuring the lasting satisfaction of our clients.  As a Principal and General Manager of Middle East Operations Wayne is also involved in a wide range of business development activities and the day-to-day management of the office and its staff.
