Bridge Aeroelastic Model Study
Aeroelastic Model Tests are the most comprehensive tool for assessing 3D effects on stability and wind loading of the fully constructed bridge and critical construction schemes. The 3D effects of local topography, natural turbulence, wind direction, non-uniform cross-sections, and structural schemes are often difficult to simulate numerically or in the 2D sectional model studies. These tests help to refine loads and optimize temporary restraints, such as tie-down cables during construction.
