Design Review / Consultation

RWDI's extensive experience provides clients great value.  Early in the design process, a Design Review provides recommendations to anticipate and avoid potential problems.  For existing facilities, a Design Review is a cost effective way to address snow accumulation / snowdrifting.

Field Investigation

  • Recommend practical solutions

Detailed Assessment / Consultation

Based on the conditions of the site, the most cost effective tool between Numerical,Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Water Flume is selected.  Each can assess snow accumulation / snowdrifting and can be used to develop control measures such as landscaping, canopies, wind screens and snow fences.

If required, scale models are tested in wind tunnels to determine wind velocity patterns.
