| Rowan Williams Davies & Irwin Inc. (RWDI) and RWDI West Inc. are pleased to inform our clients and associates that we have recently expanded our Vancouver office to provide improved access to our environmental and engineering services on the West Coast. The Vancouver office will continue to work closely with our other offices to provide services in air quality, hazard & risk analysis and noise engineering services, as well as providing a window to our other engineering expertise, such as our world famous wind engineering and building performance capabilities.
We are especially pleased to announce that Dr. Kathy Preston, Ph.D., P.Eng. (Alberta) has joined our Vancouver team as Project Director. In this role, she will be responsible for technical quality and direction for air quality and risk activities and policy-oriented projects. Kathy holds a Ph.D. in atmospheric chemistry from Cambridge University in the UK. Prior to joining RWDI, Dr. Preston carried out basic research in atmospheric chemistry, directed air quality assessments and risk studies and managed a diverse consulting group of air quality scientists, engineers and technicians in Alberta. She has extensive experience in the energy sectors. Dr. Preston will enhance the capability of our Vancouver group to offer high quality, professional advice and analysis of complex technical and policy issues.
The following additional staff members continue to provide the innovative air quality and risk analysis and management services for which RWDI has become known and respected in the more than two years it has operated in Vancouver.
Mr. Mark Bohm, B.Eng, a specialist in air quality, pipeline hazard and risk numerical modeling, and industrial processes, acts as Technical Coordinator and Project Manager in Vancouver. Mark's experience in a number of the company's operating areas enables the Vancouver office to provide services directly as well as access to appropriate expertise elsewhere in the company. Mark's performance in a number of impact studies, technical analysis projects and policy studies in BC over the past two years has earned him a reputation for delivering quality products. He has been involved in a number of industrial ventilation, dour and noise studies, as well as carrying out regulatory dispersion modeling for permitting applications in BC, Alberta and Ontario.
Mr. Seton Stiebert, B.Sc., P.Eng (Ontario) recently joined RWDI's Vancouver team as an air quality analyst after a number of years working in our Guelph office. He has coordinated and provided technical direction for a large number of environmental impact studies, including exhaust dispersion modeling, regulatory approval for air and noise emissions, design reviews, and acoustics, noise and vibration projects. He has worked on projects in a wide-range of industry sectors, including; oil & gas, power generation, transportation and manufacturing. He has prepared air emission inventories for large industrial facilities and has conducted exhaust dispersion studies through numerical modeling and scale model wind tunnel testing.
